Ingredients

  • 4 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Mix together cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, then set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter, stirring until just melted. Then stir in vanilla extract until combined.
  • Add the Cheerios to the skillet. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, mix the Cheerios and butter mixture until the cereal is warm and toasted.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and toss to coat evenly.
  • Serve warm or allow the Cheerios to sit on the counter until cooled.

Notes

  • Substitute Honey Nut Cheerios for other flavors or different kinds of cereal. 
  • Don’t melt your butter on too high of heat as it can burn easily. 
  • Mix up extra cinnamon sugar and enjoy it on toast.
