Equipment

  • Waffle Maker
  • Griddle

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pancake Mix
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 2 slices Bacon
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 slice Cheese Kraft Single
  • 1 cup Hash Browns frozen
  • 1/2 cup Steak thinly sliced (I use frozen Steak Ums)
  • Salt a pinch, to taste
  • Pepper a pinch, to taste

Instructions

  • Make the waffle batter by mixing together Pancake mix and milk (instead of the suggested water). Preheat your waffle maker and cook the waffles according to the manufacturer's instructions. Set aside.
  • On a large non-stick griddle, cook your bacon, steak, hash browns and scrambled eggs. (Season each to your preference).
  • Once all four are cooked, remove the bacon to a paper towel lined plate and melt a slice of cheese over the steak.
  • Assemble the Viral Waffle House Sandwich by placing one waffle on a plate, then layering it with hashbrowns, cheesy steak, scrambled eggs and bacon. Top with another waffle and press down gently to ensure everything stays in place.
  • Pour syrup over top and serve immediately and enjoy!

Storage and Reheating Notes

How to Store Your Viral Waffle House Sandwich

To store leftovers, wrap each sandwich individually in aluminum foil or plastic wrap, ensuring all the components are covered. Place the wrapped sandwiches in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS:

To preserve the integrity of the waffle and avoid a soggy mess, we recommend reheating your sandwich in an oven or toaster oven. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and place the sandwich on a baking sheet. Heat for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through and the waffle is crispy again.
For a quick fix, you can also use the microwave, but be aware that this method may result in a softer waffle. Place the sandwich on a microwave-safe plate and heat for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.
