First, cut up the Little Debbie snack cakes into 1-inch chunks and set aside.
Next add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl. Beat together with a mixer until thoroughly combined and fluffy. Once those are creamed together, add the chopped snack cakes to the bowl and beat together.
Add 8 ounces (1 container of thawed Cool Whip) to the bowl and fold in until combined. (Do not beat in, fold. This will keep the dip fluffy!)
Place the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to give it time to set up.
Grab a platter or clean cutting board and dollop the cold christmas tree dip onto the platter in a tree/pyramid shape. Use an offset spatula to smooth out the dip and form a full christmas tree shape.
Once the tree shape is made, clean off and use the offset spatula to spread the second tub of cool whip over top and around the edges of the cake dip and smooth it out.
Next sprinkle on the green sprinkles over top of the tree and pipe on the red buttercream frosting in a pattern that mimics a little debbie snack cake!
Serve with an assortment of cookies and enjoy!
