Reheating and Storage Information

Let's be real – we all have those nights when our eyes are bigger than our stomachs, right? If you happen to have leftovers (though I'd be surprised if you do – they're that good!), simply store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them in the oven at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes, or until they're warmed through. They'll retain that irresistible crispiness!

Can This Be Frozen?

Oh, you bet! If you're in the meal-prepping groove, you can absolutely freeze these bad boys. Lay them out on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze until solid. Once frozen, transfer them into a freezer bag or container. When you're ready to relish them, just bake directly from frozen, adding an extra 5-7 minutes to the cooking time. Handy, right?

Can This Be Made Ahead of Time?

Absolutely! If you're anything like me, planning ahead can be a lifesaver. You can prepare the beans up to the baking stage, cover, and refrigerate them for up to 24 hours in advance. When ready to serve, just bake as directed and voila – crispy, cheesy goodness in no time!

Substitutions & Variations

For my vegan pals: Skip the parmesan and go for a sprinkle of nutritional yeast for that cheesy flavor. You won't be disappointed!
Spice lovers, unite! Consider adding a pinch of chili flakes for an extra kick.
All about the crunch? Try substituting the panko crumbs with crushed almonds or walnuts for a nutty twist.

Helpful Cooking Notes

  1. Fresh or Frozen: While we've used frozen green beans for this recipe, fresh ones work just as beautifully. Just adjust the cooking time accordingly.
  2. Golden Tip: Want an even more golden crust? Try broiling the beans for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking. Keep a close eye on them, though – we're aiming for golden, not charcoal!
  3. Dressing it Up: These beans make a great base for other flavors. Consider drizzling with a bit of lemon juice or adding some fresh herbs right before serving.
Bon appétit! 🍽️💚
