Calories: 146kcal
- 8 Twinkies
- 16 m&ms
- 16 Mini Oreos
- 8 Peeps Bunnies
- 1/4 cup Vanilla Frosting
- 8 Pretzels mini
- 1/2 cup Almond Bark
- Sprinkles Easter
First make the steering wheels for the twinkie cars by melting the almond bark in a bowl in the microwave according to the package instructions, then dip the pretzels in white almond bark and place them on a foil lined baking sheet. Decorate the coated pretzels with Easter colored sprinkles. (and of course, feel free to make as many pretzels as you’d like for leftovers since you will only need 8 for this recipe) Set these aside to harden.
Unwrap all the twinkies and place them on a platter (note, they can get a little sticky to work with). Then carve about a 1.5 inch divet into each one. Spread a little bit of vanilla frosting inside the divet and place a pretzel steering wheel and peep bunny into the frosted “car seat” so they stick.
Next open each of the mini oreos to create two “wheels”. Dab a little bit of frosting on the inside of both oreo cookies and stick four to each car to make wheels.
Next, dab a little bit of frosting on the backs of each m&m and place two on the front of each car to create little headlights!
Storage
Peeps Easter Bunny Race Cars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Be sure to keep them away from direct sunlight or heat sources, as the frosting and almond bark can become soft and melty.
