How to Make Sprite Biscuits

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Bake Time: 40 minutes
  • Total Time: 60 minutes
  • Serving Size: 12 servings
  1. Preheat Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 450°F.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the biscuit mix, sour cream and sprite. Make sure all the dry ingredients are incorporated but do not overmix mix. Your dough will be soft and slightly sticky.
  3. Baking Dish Prep: Pour half of the melted butter evenly into a 9X13 baking dish, ensuring it covers the entire bottom of the pan.
  4. Drop the Biscuits In: Use an ice cream scoop to evenly scoop out individual biscuits and place them in the baking dish, allowing them to touch each other. This helps them rise better. Then pour the remaining melted butter over the top of the biscuits evenly.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown. (Check around the 10-12 minute mark, these biscuits can cook faster depending on your oven type).
  6. Serve: Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. They are best enjoyed warm – great with jam or gravy!
  7. Blueberry Version: If you’d like to make Blueberry Sprite Biscuits, just fold in a cup of fresh, clean blueberries after your batter is made then follow the rest of the instructions as written. Then glaze with a powdered sugar icing. (Glaze is just 1 cup powdered sugar whisked together with 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1-2 tablespoons of milk until you reach your desired consistency.
