HOW TO MAKE 3 INGREDIENT KEY LIME PIE IN A PAN

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the thawed lime concentrate and the sweetened condensed milk. Whisk together until they’re well combined.
  2. Gradually fold in the Cool Whip into the lime and milk mixture, be careful to keep it light and fluffy. You don’t want to overmix it, as it might lose its airiness. (But make sure to get all the lumps out)
  3. Once all the Cool Whip has been incorporated and the mixture is smooth, pour it into a ready-made graham cracker pie crust (this is extra but essential for making a pie.
  4. Place the pie into the freezer and chill for at least 8 hours, for me it’s easiest to throw it in and let it set up over-night. Make sure to give it plenty of time to freeze, it will be much easier to cut and serve.
  5. When you’re ready to serve the pie, you can garnish it with a little extra Cool Whip or some lime slices if you have them.

STORAGE AND REHEATING NOTES:

  • Since this is a no bake key lime pie, you’ll need to keep it frozen until you’re ready to serve it. The pie can stay fresh in there for 3-5 days.
  • Remember to use a clean, airtight container to store the pie.
  • The pie can be enjoyed chilled- no need to heat it. Use a sharp knife to cut out the slices from the pie.

HELPFUL TIPS & SUBSTITUTIONS:

What Can I Use Instead of Lime Concentrate?

You can use fresh key lime juice or lime juice instead of lime concentrate, depending on what you have at hand. For some extra lime flavor, you can also add the zest.

What Else Can I Add to the Filling?

In addition to the Cool Whip and the sweetened condensed milk, you can also add some cream cheese into the filling, especially if you love the cheesecake flavor and want to incorporate it into the pie. Or you can make this Lemonade Pie version!

What Can I Top the 3 Ingredient Key Lime Pie With?

You can top the key lime pie with some Cool Whip, fresh lime zest and/or some thin lime slices. These elements can add to the beauty of the pie.
