HOW TO MAKE TIKTOK BRAZILIAN LEMONADE IN A BLENDER
Step 1: Rinse your limes and cut them into quarters. Throw them into a powerful blender, whole-do not peel, and add 3 cups of cold water. Blend for about 30 seconds or until smooth. (Don’t over mix or the juice will become a bit bitter).
Step 2: Strain the lime juice liquid, removing all the pulp, then add the lime juice back to the blender. (if you prefer even less juice, strain twice).
Step 3: Add half a can of sweet condensed milk and 1 cup of ice and blend until combined and smooth. Taste the lemonade and if you prefer it to be sweeter, gradually add more sweetened condensed milk.
Step 4: Add ice to your cups and pour the Brazilian Lemonade over and enjoy!
⭐️ IMPORTANT NOTE! ⭐️ Personally, I found this drink to be a bit bitter because it uses the entire lime, peel and all. So I did test it by making an additional batch using limes that I cut the peel off of first then followed all the next instructions and my family (using a BLIND test) all preferred the version with the peel off. Tiktok has HUNDREDS of recipes using the whole lime without peeling and they all seem to like it but we liked our version better.
STORAGE AND REHEATING NOTES:
The only downside to this TikTok Brazilian lemonade is the fact that it cannot be batch made and stored for later…the creamy texture from the whipped condensed milk separates from the lime juice over time. So, if you do have some leftovers, I recommend freezing them in popsicle molds to enjoy them in a unique, summer-friendly way.
HELPFUL TIPS & SUBSTITUTIONS:
Can I Use Lemons Instead of Limes?
You sure can! You can also throw in some other fruits of your choice- berries, pineapple and even some coconut if you want.
Can I Use Only the Lime Juice?
You can simply stick to using lime juice instead of pulverizing the lime, but remember, that’ll only bring the sourness into the drink. The zest of lime is what lends the drink that punch of flavor you’re looking for.
What Can I Use Instead of Condensed Milk?
You can use whipped cream and sugar if you don’t have condensed milk. If you’re looking for a vegan alternative, use coconut milk or coconut cream, and your choice of sweetener.
Why is it called Lemonade when it’s made with Limes?
Brazilian lemonade, as you probably already noticed from the green photos, is actually Brazilian limeade, made with fresh limes. We call it lemonade because the word for lime in Portuguese is limão, so in Portuguese we call it limonada, which translates to lemonade.

What if you zested the limes, added that, then peeled the limes before adding them? You’d get the lime zest flavor without the bitter white part, I would think. But this sounds delicious. And to make an adult bev out of it, some vodka or rum would be great in it.
Yes, you could definitely zest the limes instead! I found that it had a great flavour just with the lime fruit itself but etra zest will give a but more punch! 🙂
Looks delicious!
The inner part of the peel is called the pith. That’s what is causing the bitter taste. It would probably be ok if you blended the zest and juice, omitting the pith.
Thank you for the edit to peel limes
