How to Make Candied Bacon Crackers

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 24 (2 crackers per serving)

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F
  2. Place a wire baking rack on top of the baking sheet. This allows the bacon fat to drip down while cooking and insure the crackers will not get soggy.
  3. Cut each slice of bacon into 4 equal pieces. You should have enough pieces to top each cracker.
  4. Place the butter crackers on the baking rack set over the baking sheet, spacing them an inch apart.
  5. Lay a piece of bacon on top of each cracker.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and Kinder’s Salt, Pepper & Garlic Rub.
  7. Evenly sprinkle brown sugar mixture over the bacon-topped crackers. Make sure to coat each piece of bacon thoroughly.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye on them to ensure they do not burn. The bacon should become crispy and the brown sugar should caramelize.
  9. Once out of the oven, let the candied bacon crackers cool for 5 minutes on the cooling rack. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.

**These party crackers are great with just candied bacon but if you want to kick things up a notch add a few pieces of sliced provolone cheese to each cracker before you place the uncooked bacon on the cracker! Bake using the same times and instructions and enjoy!

Serve warm or at room temperature, and enjoy your delicious Candied Bacon Crackers! Feel free to adjust the amount of brown sugar and Kinder’s Salt, Pepper & Garlic Rub to suit your personal preference. (If you don’t have this particular rub, you can mix equal parts salt, garlic powder and pepper in a bowl to create a dry rub yourself)

Storage and Reheating Instructions:

How to Store Candied Bacon Crackers:

Had so much fun chatting and forgot about your crackers? No worries!

Storage: If you happen to have leftovers (which I seriously doubt), store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.

How to Reheat Candied Bacon Crackers:

Reheating: These crackers are great at room temperature but if you prefer them warm try popping them into an oven or toaster oven at 350°F for 3-5 minutes until they regain their crispness. I wouldn’t use the microwave, unless you’re a fan of soggy crackers.

  • Rub: If you can’t find Kinder’s Salt, Pepper & Garlic Rub, no stress! Whip up a DIY version with equal parts salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
