  2. On a large non-stick griddle, cook your bacon, steak, hash browns and scrambled eggs. (Season each to your preference).
  3. Once all four are cooked, remove the bacon to a paper towel lined plate and melt a slice of cheese over the steak.

Storage and Reheating Notes

How to Store Your Viral Waffle House Sandwich

To store leftovers, wrap each sandwich individually in aluminum foil or plastic wrap, ensuring all the components are covered. Place the wrapped sandwiches in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

REHEATING INSTRUCTIONS:

To preserve the integrity of the waffle and avoid a soggy mess, we recommend reheating your sandwich in an oven or toaster oven. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and place the sandwich on a baking sheet. Heat for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through and the waffle is crispy again.

For a quick fix, you can also use the microwave, but be aware that this method may result in a softer waffle. Place the sandwich on a microwave-safe plate and heat for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.

Helpful Tips & Substitutions

Get Creative with Fillings

Don’t be afraid to mix and match ingredients to make this Sandwich your own. Some popular filling options include crispy bacon, ham, sausage, avocado, tomatoes, spinach, and cheese. You can also experiment with different sauces like hot sauce or even a spicy mayo to elevate your sandwich game.

Cook the Eggs your way!

A well-cooked egg is essential for this breakfast meal. You can choose to make scrambled, fried, or even poached eggs for your sandwich.

What to Serve with Your Waffle House Sandwich

This Sandwich is a meal in itself, but if you’re looking to create a full spread, consider serving it alongside some tasty side dishes. Fresh fruit, more hash browns, or a simple green salad are all great options that complement the sandwich nicely. For a beverage, orange juice, coffee, or a mimosa (for those special occasions) can complete the meal perfectly.
