How to Make Mini Pizzas in the Air Fryer
Step 1: Cut each biscuit into halves, long ways to create two circular layers. Using a little bit of flour on your fingers and on a flat surface, use a rolling pin to roll each biscuit layer flat until it’s about 4 inches wide.
Step 2: Lightly spray the basket with cooking oil, then pre-bake the dough in batches of 4 at 400 degrees for 3 minutes. (This is important because if you don’t pre-bake the dough, the crust will not cook through fully and will be gummy and undercooked in the center).
Step 3: Mix the pizza sauce and Italian seasonings together in a bowl.
Step 4: Once the dough is baked, top each biscuit with about 1-2 tablespoons of pizza sauce. Using the back end of a spoon, spread evenly leaving ½ inch clearance before the edge.
Step 5: Sprinkle on some mozzarella cheese, about 1-2 tablespoons per mini pizza.
Step 6: Top pizza with sausage and pepperonis, and your favorite veggies, the sky’s the limit…you can even try pineapple slices if you are pro pizza with pineapple!
Step 7: Bake at 400 degrees for 3 more minutes per batch. Carefully remove from the air fryer using a spatula, serve hot!
Storage and Re-heating Notes
You can place these in a plastic baggie or an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat them in the air fryer for 3 minutes at 300 degrees or until crispy.
FAQS & Helpful Tips
Yes, of course. Most biscuits come in a tube with 8 pieces. You do need to half each one and flatten them so they will cook up perfectly but you can make 8 pizzas from 4 biscuits and save the other 4 for another meal!
You don’t HAVE to but I tested them both ways and each time I didn’t pre-bake the dough, the center turned out gummy and undercooked…even at longer cook times and higher temperatures.
